Advancing Renewable Energy with Climate Services (ARECS)

The Advancing Renewable Energy with Climate Services (ARECS) initiative aims to improve seasonal to decadal (s2d) wind and solar forecasts for the renewable energy (RE) sector, with the overall objective to develop an operational RE s2d climate service that can help RE stakeholders understand and manage climate-related risks and opportunities. This includes the probability of individual or extended months, years and/or decades of unexpectedly low or high energy yield due to unforeseen climate variability.
