Climate Help Desk for Humanitarian Action and Decision Making in Africa

In 2008, a help desk was established to address the meteorological information used by the International Federation of Red Cross West Africa and Central Zone (IFRC WACZ) for disaster mitigation and response. The desk was generalized for the purposes of disaster risk reduction in 2010 when information was more widely disseminated. In 2011 the geographic scope of the help desk expanded further and today it supports humanitarian action and decision-making throughout all of Africa.
