The Global Drought Monitoring Portal (GDMP) is a newly developed international drought monitoring web portal operated by the United States with input provided by collaborative activities in North America, Europe, Africa, and Australia. By enhancing climate monitoring especially in semi-arid regions, the GDMP can play a critical role in providing access to drought information, supporting drought mitigation efforts, and promoting sustainable development practice.
