Katiuscia Fara is WFP Senior Climate Services and DRR Advisor and coordinates WFP climate services initiatives in different countries. She is a specialist in climate change adaptation and disaster risk management with extensive experience in sustainable development and environmental management. Prior to her position with the World Food Programme, Katiuscia Fara has worked with several international organizations on climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction, including IFAD, IFRC, ICLEI and UNDP.
She holds a geography degree from the London School of Economics and a Master in Environmental Management from the University of Cape Town. Her main interests include climate risk management, community based-participatory approaches, bridging the divide between scientific and local knowledge to support informed decision making and greater resilience.
